Course Descriptions





Basketball ( 7 and up)

Classes focus on the basic basketball fundamentals which ensure success at every level. Come learn the basics of basketball while having fun. There is a $10 supply fee for this class or bring your own basketball. 




Exploring God (9 and up)

For the youth looking at the questions: Does God exist? Why is there pain and suffering? Is the bible reliable? Is Christianity the only way?Find the answers while exploring God. This class has a supply fee of $5.00




Six weeks of Slime (ages 6 and up)

If you love slime...this is the class for you! This is a great sensory experience class. Sensory play allows children to utilize several senses while encouraging the development of fine motor skills and creativity. In this class we will be exploring a different type of slime each week. Students will examine various textures as well as developing 6 different recipes. Some recipes will include fluffy slime, crunchy slime, glow in the dark slime, butter slime, and a couple of other surprises. This class will be packed with non stop fun and pure messiness. 




Soccer (ages 5 and up)

Agape Soccer academy has paired up with AGAPE Homeschool to offer high quality, yet affordable soccer training for children. All our classes have 2 main components:
1. Technique: The first half of the practice we work on developing ball control, we do drills and exercises to learn the skills of the day. 
2.  Tactic: The second half of the practice we focus on playing a game and teaching students different positions in the field and how to play as part of a team.
Coach Diego teaches: Respect, Teamwork and Skills. One of the most important things in the soccer program is the safety of the children. For this reason, it is necessary for the kids to wear the proper clothes and gear on the soccer field. Shin guards are available for purchase from Coach Diego.
The following list describes what each child should have for the Soccer Program:
1) A pair of soccer cleats or tennis shoes that cover their toes completely. 
2) A pair of shin guards (This is required and child will not be able to play without this)
3) A pair of socks long enough to cover their shin guards.
4) Agape Soccer Academy Uniform (which include Shirt, shorts and socks)
5) A bottle of water or Gatorade. Please inform the Coach of any allergies or medical conditions.

Please Note that there is a waiver that needs to be signed for this class. 
Minimum of 10 kids needed. There is a supply fee of $50 for this class which covers the uniform, if you already own the uniform, there is no need to pay supply fee. 




Super Hero Science 3 (ages 5-8)

Superheroes with fantastic super powers abound within comic books and on television...but just what do we know about these fictional characters’ super powers. Now is your time to become one of these SUPERHEROES, and engage in spectacular science fun each week as we take a look at the science behind the scenes! Every week a new superhero or superheroine will be presented. We’ll spend time identifying and investigating a science concept behind a superhero power, and perform a SUPERHERO size hands-on science experiment/activity related to a superhero! It’s a bird, it’s a plane....no it’s a Superhero Scientist to the rescue!!! Limited Space available!  There is a $30 supply fee for this class and a registration deadline of April 1, 2020.

Cook with Books (ages 5 to 8)

It's time to Cook with Books! Your child will bubble with excitement as they make books Come Alive, Sizzle, and Pop! Each week during the mini session we will engage in a stimulating read-aloud (or summary of a book), and then embark on a delicious culinary adventure inspired by various “best selling” series of storybooks for children! This course is designed to promote literacy skills for children ages 5-8 through reading aloud, discussion, & comprehension. Additionally, students will participate in a hands-on food creation activity, all while integrating new vocabulary, math, and science into their day! If your child loves interesting stories, and enjoys opportunities to explore different foods, then Cook with Books is the perfect fit! Who knew READING could be so DELICIOUS? Please read and sign the food allergy/ dietary restriction statement prior to registration. 
Books may be changed or substituted prior to the class start date at the teacher’s discretion. But, no worries...fun will be had by all no matter the selected book! There is a $30 supply fee for this class and an enrollment deadline of April 1, 2020.

Harry Potter Science (ages 9 and up)



Calling all MUGGLES and WIZARDS!!! 


Join me for 6 weeks of fun-filled Harry Potter “themed” science activities and experiments especially designed for.... BOYS & GIRLS ages 9-12! 
Grab your cloak and scurry over to Platform 9 & 3/4! Hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and meet me in the Great Hall where you’ll be sorted and construct whimsical wands to conduct experiments during the mini-term. Then, join Professor Snape weekly in the lab and experiment with fizzy, bubbling potions, dissect Hedwig’s owl pellets, whip up our own “Butterbeer” slime, create golden snitch bombs, and more! No magic, wizardry, or witchcraft topics will occur in this class. The class will utilize fun Harry Potter theming based on the book series to explore basic science concepts (chemistry, physics, and life science)! . There is no time for haste! Don’t miss the Hogwarts Express as this class will have limited space! There is a $30 supply fee for this class and an enrollment deadline of April 1, 2020.

Theatre (ages 9 & up)

Theater (ages 9 & up): Students will develop their theater skills through voice and movement exercises including – but not limited to – Viola Spolin games, Viewpoints, script analysis, Linklater and Stanislavski techniques. The study of theater fosters teamwork, confidence and qualities of self-presentation that expand beyond the walls of theatricality and into all realms of life. Please dress for freedom of movement and expression. 




Mom's Work Out Class

No excuses moms!! You drive your kids around all day, fix their meals, clean their clothes, make sure they are healthy & well cared for ... but you need to make sure YOU are healthy and able to keep up with all the demands!  Exercise is like a good drug - it helps you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  Together we'll have fun doing full body workouts that are functional to your everyday life... think picking up babies, chasing toddlers, and having more energy for your husband! ;)  In addition, we'll look at some basic nutrition & practical ways you can keep healthy food available for your family.
Supply fee: $10




Chess (5 and up)

These Chess classes provide a strong foundation in the rules and strategies of the game whether the student has little or no experience. In addition to learning the fundamentals of chess, this class will promote the growth and development of skills in concentration, logic, decision making, planning, and self-discipline. The advance class is ideal for students who are experienced and are ready to compete in local competitions.




Dance (ages 5 and up)

Dance (ages 5 and up): Students will learn the basics of ballet while exploring dance as a form of movement and expression. Please have hair securely tied back. Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes preferred (but form-fitting clothing that allows for freedom of movement allowed). 




Theatre (ages 5-8)

 Theater (ages 5-8): Students will explore the techniques of storytelling on the stage through acting exercises, improv games and imaginative play. Please dress for freedom of movement. 




Learn through Literature (ages 6 to 10)

Five in a Row is a Unit study learning approach for children ages 6-10, that teaches positive character qualities such as forgiveness, compassion, and honesty through stories. In this adapted version of the class at Agape Homeschool, we will read one quality book for 2 weeks as we study social studies, science, math, language arts, applied math and art through excellent literature. Please note there is a $25 supply fee for this class. 




Ceramics (ages 5 and up)

In these Ceramic classes students learn several hand building techniques to create their master piece and finish the piece by painting with glaze and acrylic. Step by step instructional lessons are given to the students to teach the art of sculpting and molding ceramic clay by hand. Each student makes their own individual pieces that can be displayed at the Youth fair in March. Classes offered are for 5 year olds and up. Classes are also available to adults for the same price.  This class has a supply fee of $12.50




Learn to Solder (Ages 9 and older)

Come and learn how circuit boards and electronics are built.  We will begin with safety as these electric irons are hot to melt on the wires to the circuit boards. We will be building a flashing light/siren to test our skills to move onto a mini car.  All items are take home so this will be just the beginning to your budding solderer. There is a $30 supply fee for this class. Please be sure to sign the liability sheet before the start of class. 




Treats Class (ages 4 and up)

 Students will be dipping and decorating chocolate, decorating cupcakes and sugar cookies. They'll also be making cake pops, using fondant among other sweets throughout the semester. Please consider speaking to the teacher if your child has any allergies.  




Coding/ Robotics/ 3D Printing (ages 7 and up)

Students will be working in groups and individually to learn Levels 1 and 2 of how all three aspects of the STEM class are related. Through project based learning, students will use their imagination to design ideas that can be printed to enhance the existing robotics equipment. Students will also learn introductory block coding and gradually transition to a more formal programming. A LAPTOP is REQUIRED for this class. 




Tae Kwon Do (ages 3 and up)

Students will learn Taekwondo and martial arts in a fun way with Master Jeff. Basic martial arts techniques will be taught. Every class will include stretching and age appropriate training. This course is ongoing. All testing will be at the DOJO of South Miami Taekwondo. Little Dragons course is for 3-6 years old. Supply Fee of $30 is for those who need a Uniform. If you already have a Uniform from Master Jeff, you don't need to pay supply fee.

Conversational French Class for Beginners (any age)

In this class there is an emphasis on developing the skills of understanding and speaking French. No writing, no grammar rules. 
We use flashcards, play games and repetition in order to learn new vocabulary every day.
"Join our class to have fun and discover a new world through a new language".




Jesus StoryBook Bible and Activities for Toddlers Ages 2-4

Come and enjoy a Bible time story and hands on activities weekly.  Activities will include: Playdough play, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, balloon fun and more. There is a $10 Supply fee for this class. 







ART: Dreamy Desert Collage (ages 8-12)

In this session, we will create one project over the course of 6 weeks.  Students will explore their creativity and build skills throughout the multi-stage process.  We will use basic art supplies (paint, brushes, different types of substrates, scissors, glue…) and fundamental art making techniques to design, build, and ultimately produce a large (18” x 24”) Dream Desert Landscape Scene.




ART: Under the Sea Project (ages 5-7)

In this session, student will learn 5 different watercolor techniques that will be integrated into one magical project.  Each week students will learn a different technique and use the papers generated to create parts of what will eventually become an “Under the Sea” art piece inspired by the illustrations in Zommer’s “The Big Book of the Blue”.
